Illustrious Wanderglyph: Golem of the Citys Blessing
Illustrious Wanderglyph is a defensive engine that reads like a midrange answer and an artifact anthem in one. The card rewards board development through ascend and then turns your artifact army into a real battlefield presence by granting a persistent +2/+2 boost to other artifact creatures once you secure the citys blessing. It also supplies steady chump bodies with a 1/1 colorless Gnome artifact creature token at the beginning of each upkeep which both fuels sacrifice synergies and pads your creature count toward ascend.
From a deckbuilding perspective this goes well in artifact focused shells and in commander lists that can reliably produce many permanents each turn. Use it as a late game value sink or as a midrange backbone that amplifies small artifacts into threats. The flavor fits Lost Caverns of Ixalan with a relic that charts the rise of a mechanical guardian and makes the board state both more resilient and more threatening without overcomplicating play patterns.
