Hooded Hydra — Evolving Threat
Hooded Hydra reads like a scalable board presence built for midrange strategies. It enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters which makes it as much a threat on arrival as it is a resource for later. If it dies it converts those counters into a board of 1/1 green Snake tokens which helps recover tempo and maintain pressure without needing extra spells.
The card also offers a Morph line that turns it face up and immediately gains five +1/+1 counters. That interaction rewards careful sequencing and makes the Hydra a flexible play across different phases of a game. Use it to tax removal, to stabilize against fast creature decks, or to push through damage once those counters start compounding.
