Heirloom Blade is a straight forward tool for decks that want efficient stats and incremental card advantage when things go wrong. The simple boost of the equipped creature by +3/+1 makes it effective on midrange attackers and value blockers alike. When the worst happens and the creature dies you get a chance to keep the plan moving. The reveal effect digs to the next creature that shares a creature type with the fallen body and replaces it in hand, which rewards tribal synergies and careful creature selection.

From a Lost Caverns perspective the blade feels like an ancestor passed down to keep lineage intact. Use it in token lists, creature based aristocrat builds or any deck where replacing a lost creature with a related one keeps your tempo stable.
