Raise the Ramparts

Hanweir Battlements is a pragmatic addition for any Innistrad build that needs flexible mana and an aggressive push. This near mint rare is a colorless land that taps for {C} and doubles as an engine for haste when you need to close a game. The secondary ability pays one red and a tap to give a creature haste until end of turn, which pairs cleanly with token strategies and creatures that benefit from a sudden attack.

The Battlements’ signature clause reads like a puzzle piece for a dedicated Hanweir plan. For three and two red and a tap you may exile this and a creature named Hanweir Garrison you both own and control, then meld them into Hanweir, the Writhing Township. That meld line creates a reliable late game threat without relying on random outcomes. If you run Hanweir Garrison this land converts utility into a predictable win condition. Add it to your sideboard or main deck when you want a land that contributes tempo and a clear route to a powerful meld.
