Goldvein Hydra: Mine the Madness
Goldvein Hydra is a build around finisher that rewards investment. You cast it for {X}{G} and it arrives with X additional +1/+1 counters, then it hits with vigilance, trample, and haste. That combination makes it a deadline piece for board decisions. It pressures blockers, survives combat, and still attacks on the turn it drops. In midrange decks that can reliably generate extra mana or pump, the hydra turns excess resources into an immediate threat.
There is a small touch of Outlaws of Thunder Junction lore in its death trigger. When the hydra dies you get Treasure equal to its power. That converts a late game casualty into fuel for another play or a ritual of ramp. Use it as a blocker, a finisher, or a one way to refill your storm of plays.
