Gate Colossus is a straightforward plan for decks that lean into Gates. The eight mana casting cost is tempered by its static reduction that rewards board presence. In games where you already control multiple Gates the card becomes cheap to resolve and immediately threatens an evasive eight eight that skews combat math in your favor.

Play it as a late game finisher and as recurring value. Gate Colossus cannot be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less so small chump blockers do not slow it. When a Gate arrives you get an additional payoff since you may return Gate Colossus from your graveyard to the top of your library. The printed text and the construct frame make it a logical inclusion in any Gate focused or artifact assisted deck on Ravnica.
