Fabrication Foundry gives artifact decks a predictable fuel line. Fabrication Foundry enters the battlefield as a one white and one generic mana artifact that taps for white mana which may only be used for casting artifact spells or activating abilities of artifact sources. That restriction turns the Foundry into a turn one or two enabler in decks that want to reliably cast artifacts or power up modular engines.

The second ability is the recovery tool you will reach for when combat or a board wipe takes pieces from your board. For two and a white plus tapping and exiling other artifacts you control whose total mana values equal X the Foundry returns an artifact card with mana value X or less from your graveyard to the battlefield. It reads like a focused recursion engine and pairs cleanly with low cost artifacts that you can afford to sacrifice for value. In match play this card favors careful sequencing and timing since the return ability is a sorcery speed effect.
