Etrata, Deadly Fugitive — Quiet Blade from Karlov
Etrata, Deadly Fugitive rewards timing and subterfuge. The card trades raw power for utility with deathtouch and a one one four stat line that survives block trades. Her face down synergy turns any disguised attacker into a hidden threat by giving those creatures an activated turn face up cost of {2}{U}. If that flip cannot happen the exile clause grants a second avenue to resolve whatever card was turned over and often without paying its mana cost.
From a deckbuilding perspective Etrata is practical in tempo and control shells. The Assassin tribe matters trigger cloaks the top of an opponent s library on combat damage which can set up future disruption or resource denial. Play her where surprise and card advantage matter. She fits well with flicker, protection, and cards that benefit from exiling or casting off the top of a deck.
