Dream Eater, Nightmares on Tap
Dream Eater is a compact answer engine for blue decks that favor disruption and card selection. It arrives with flash and flying so it can slip into combat or stop a key play, then immediately surveil four to sculpt the next draws. The surveil trigger is functional and deep; you can dig for answers or set up graveyard interactions without committing a lot of board space.
When the surveil resolves you may bounce a nonland permanent an opponent controls back to its owners hand. That secondary effect converts card selection into tempo. Use it to neutralize a problematic threat or buy one more turn to assemble a combo. Players familiar with control tempo know this card fits cleanly into late game plans while providing meaningful interactions the moment it hits the stack.
