Skull of Secrets

Crystal Skull, Isu Spyglass is a compact engine for deck manipulation and value that fits naturally into control and artifact shells. The card grants you constant access to the top of your library so decisions are informed rather than guessed. The extended art frame highlights the floating crystal skull inside a brass ring which signals that this artifact sits at the intersection of knowledge and mana production.

Functionally the card reads as both a planner and a cheat sheet. You may look at the top card of your library at any time and you may play historic lands and cast historic spells from there which translates to smooth card advantage and surprise windows for spells that otherwise would be stuck. The tap ability to add blue mana turns long turns into setup turns and makes the skull a practical inclusion in any deck that wants to sculpt draws while maintaining mana flexibility. Add this Near Mint extended art piece to a binder or deck and you get both tabletop presence and a tidy in game payoff.
