Comeuppance: Turn Protection into Payback
Comeuppance is a concise answer for commanders that keep you and your planeswalkers in the center of incoming threats. Cast for a single white and three colorless mana and you convert prevented damage into immediate retaliation. Against creature attackers the spell routes damage back at the offending creature. Against spells and other noncreature sources it punishes the source by dealing the prevented amount to that source controller.
Use this in decks that expect to absorb contested damage while keeping board presence intact. The card reads like a courtroom judgment the set favors; it shifts tempo without needing a board wipe and scales with the size of incoming threats. Practical players will time it to turn overcommitted attacks into removal or to discourage targeted burn at a decisive moment.
