Cold Case Cracker — Ghostly Sleuth
Cold Case Cracker arrives as a compact investigative threat that fits cleanly into control and value built around clues. As a 3 3 flying creature for {3}{U}, it pressures skies while protecting your tempo. Its triggered investigate on death turns removal into card advantage by creating a Clue artifact you can pay to sacrifice and draw. In practical play you can bait removal, trade up in resource quality, and convert spot removal into a replacement draw later in the game.
Lore and function align with Murders at Karlov Manor. The Spirit Detective reads like a plot device rather than a finish line. Use it where dying is part of the plan and recurring value matters. It plays well with artifact sacrifice synergies and conservative blue decks that prefer incremental advantages. This foil Near Mint copy underscores the set feel while serving as a reliable engine piece in draft, limited, or casual constructed shells.
