As a 3 by 3 legendary creature for {2}{R} with first strike, Breeches survives early skirmishes and turns each attack into a decision. Whenever a Pirate you control attacks you pick one effect that has not been chosen this turn so you can make treasure, push through damage by making a blocker unable to block, or dig by exiling the top card of your library and playing it that turn.

Play Breeches in a token centric shell or a lightweight tribal list where each attacker matters. The pick one mechanic provides flexibility during combat and shields you from stuck draws by converting pressure into mana or card advantage. In practice Breeches smooths games and forces opponents to answer both the board and recurring resource generation.
