Boltbender: Redirect the Spark
Boltbender is a compact toolkit for red decks that like to play tricks with targets. It enters as a solid 4/2 body and carries a disguise option that lets you sneak it in as a face down 2/2 with ward 2 then flip it for value. The turn face up trigger reads like a short spell rewiring; when Boltbender is turned face up you may choose new targets for any number of other spells and or abilities, which pairs cleanly with cheap instants and activated abilities.
In a Commander game this card invites timing plays and metagame reads. Keep it in hand to bait removal or cast it as a hidden threat to dodge a board sweep. Lore wise the goblin wizard prefers improvisation over ritual, bending other people s plans into his lightning. Play it when your deck needs a reliable way to redirect damage and control points of interaction.
