Blood Crypt: Ravnica's Underbelly
Blood Crypt is a practical addition to any Rakdos focused mana base and the borderless treatment from the Ravnica Clue Edition gives this staple a distinct table presence. As an experienced player you will recognize the trade off it offers between tempo and life. The art shows a vaulted cellar lit by lanterns and puddles of something darker than water which fits the guild's temperament without overstating it.
Functionally this land is straightforward. You may pay 2 life as it enters the battlefield to have it come in untapped and contribute immediately to your curve. If you prefer to preserve life total and do not pay the cost it will enter tapped and still provide both a Swamp and a Mountain. That flexibility is the reason it remains a mainstay in two color aggressive and midrange builds.
