Blade of the Bloodchief — Feed the Frontline
Blade of the Bloodchief is a compact equipment that rewards attrition and creature trading. For a single colorless mana it sits quietly in your board state and converts each death into growth on the equipped creature. The printed trigger reads when a creature dies put a plus one slash plus one counter on equipped creature and if equipped creature is a Vampire put two plus one slash plus one counters on it instead which makes this a natural fit in sacrifice decks and Vampire tribal builds where incremental counters matter.
Play it as a one mana hedge against board wipes or as a recurring incentive to trade creatures on the ground. The low equip cost keeps it active; attach it early to a token or low cost attacker and every opposing removal spell becomes a way to pump your threat. In a Commander game the blade scales with the table and pairs well with payoffs that care about counters or creatures entering the battlefield with increased power.
