Silent Blade, Relentless Legacy
Altair Ibn-La'Ahad brings a surgical threat profile to the table that rewards tight sequencing and graveyard management. As a 3/3 Legendary Creature Human Assassin with first strike, Altair punishes poorly timed blocks and trades efficiently. His attack trigger lets you exile an Assassin card from your graveyard with a memory counter and then generate tapped attacking copies of every Assassin you have exiled with memory counters. The effect creates an instant tempo swing that can finish a board stall or convert incremental advantage into lethal damage in a single combat step.
The card reads like a compact combo engine. Build around self mill, targeted recursion and cards that place memory counters to maximize the token output. Altair fits naturally into midrange shell strategies that can protect him long enough to attack, or into aggressive builds that leverage his first strike to push through damage while simultaneously converting graveyard resources into immediate attackers. Keep in mind the tokens are exiled at end of combat so the value is acute and immediate rather than persistent.
