Akawalli, the Seething Tower is a compact but flexible legendary creature that earns its place in graveyard synergy builds. As a 3/3 for {1}{B}{B} it presents a reliable early body while offering clear midgame upside. The Descend thresholds reward intentional milling and sacrifice lines rather than random graveyard fill so you plan around permanents rather than spells alone.
Use Akawalli to pressure opponents and force awkward blocks. At four permanents in your graveyard it becomes a larger trampling threat and at eight it grows again and becomes hard to stall because it can only be blocked by one creature. It fits well in decks that reuse permanents or run recursion and complements both aggressive and attrition strategies in Lost Caverns of Ixalan flavor by leveraging the undergrowth of the battlefield.
