Peek and Pluck
Visage of Dread sits in the slot you turn to when information matters. This Uncommon artifact from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan costs {1}{B} and forces a target opponent to reveal their hand on entry. You pick an artifact or creature card and that player discards it. The effect is straightforward disruption that doubles as selection tool against combo pieces or expensive threats you do not want to see resolved.
The card also answers late game inevitability with its craft side. Craft with two creatures for {5}{B} lets you exile the artifact and two creatures from among your control and or creature cards in your graveyard to return the card transformed under your control as a 5/4. In practice this gives you a flexible line: early hand information and targeted removal followed by a resilient body when the board state calls for pressure. The foil show and light play condition make this a playable piece that holds table presence in Commander and cube builds alike.
